Fall 2014 Color Story: The Pink Persuasion.
This season, pink ditched its sweet reputation for a femme fatale force to be reckoned with. From the Mission to the Marina, women who had once vowed to never wear the ultra-feminine color are beginning to retract their statements.
The photo shoot will present the color that is virtually synonymous with an infamous heiress and her ilk in a striking, new tone. It will take place at Stow Lake, preferably when it’s foggy, as a contrast to the pink color and its inherent warmth.
Different from season’s past, the new pink is no longer the supportive role, but rather the lead of the look. The outfits chosen are comfortable but fashion-forward. San Francisco women know the two are not mutually exclusive and it is those items they covet most. Accessories would be minimalistic, if any were used at all. The lead look should be Barbara Casasola’s monochromatic suit. Its unconventional use of fuchsia is a prime example of pink being used in a sophisticated way.
Other ideal ensembles for the shoot would be the following:
There would only be one model for the shoot. She would have very fair skin. Her hair should be a very light blonde and be cut into a blunt bob. Her eye makeup will be light but she will have cakey, black lashes. Lastly, her lipstick should be a very dark oxblood, almost black.
